General strategies and specific approaches to help families feel more confident tackling important conversations with their kids.
Talking to children about difficult topics can feel overwhelming, but avoiding these conversations isn’t the answer. In this workshop, Amy will guide parents and caregivers through strategies to navigate sensitive discussions in an age-appropriate way. Topics may include loss, divorce, family differences, illness, trauma, and more.
Whether it’s explaining why grandpa isn’t visiting anymore, why parents live in different houses, or why bodies come in all shapes and sizes, this session will provide helpful tools to make these discussions easier. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own concerns for individualized guidance.
